And someone asked him about the placement of this Arya chapter in the novels and if it gave away that Cercei was back in power:
"It is the current draft. I would not say it is the final draft. I always do one last run-through and polish when a book is turned in, and so eventually (NOT tomorrow, let's not start rumors here) I will do that with Mercy. Even before that, the chapter's placement in the novel often requires tweaks, and I do have a long history of moving chapters around and rearranging the chronology until I hit on the best possible sequence."

I think what likely takes forever on these books at this point is the editing and especially the continuity fact checkers. Considering how all of us makes up theories based on minutiae, I am guessing everyone involved in the editing are constantly correcting true mistakes and going back and forth with GRRM whether a mistake is deliberate. The more is known about the current world and its history, the chance for mistakes increases exponentially.

I'm hoping for 2015. I would hate for the show to rush things, or have to take a break, or for the Fat Man to never finish it in time.

Hmm it was quite a day yesterday between the new chapter and the exploits of a certain LSU coed.
Back to the topic at hand, Arya is a badass. For all we know she'll be going back to Westros. Unless, having Arya kill the guard was part of the FM plans to influence the Lannister delegation...
