If finished with 43 in 2025, may lowest total in some time. My goal is 40 this year.

1. The Summer of the Danes - Ellis Peters

I finished with over 60 but some were audio books. Probably 45 actual books read.
I’m going to go for 60 total again with audio included.

Going for 35 books again for 2026.

Year before I was just short at 33, surpassed it in 2025 with 41. Feels like 35 is a good benchmark to set.

1. Heir of Fire - Sarah J Maas

Goal keeping at 24. Did 27 last year (only got 100 pages of Shadow Upon Time left). For sure doing Dungeon crawler reread to get ready for next book, might get back to cradle, and thinking spellslinger. Wheel of time reread is calling sometime too.

1 Shadows Upon Time - The Suneater Series - Christopher Ruocchio 1/3

I'll keep my goal of 24. I need to start adding audiobooks to my results. I probably listened 20 books and didn't log any of them.

Ended with 56 in 2025, which is a little lower than normal for me. Setting the bar at 52 again for 2026

Same as last year, no real goal. I'll read what's interesting, maybe try to concentrate a little more on non-fiction, but I'll see. Goodreads says I've read between 88 and 102 books each of the last 5 years, so I'll expect something in that range

30 in 2025

18 is the goal in 2026

Just want to start out a little lower and hopefully don't get stuck on a slow read

Planning a couple of Re-reads with The Hobbit and A Walk in the Woods

Other than that, starting with Jack Reacher #4 Running Blind. Many list have this rated as a middle of the pack in the Reacher series, but I'm 300 pages in on day 2, which is big for me. Will likely read a few this year

I also need to pick out my "classic forced to read in high school" book for the year. Last year was The Great Gatsby. Maybe Hemingway this year

Completely forgot the add that I read the first two Dungeon Crawler Carl's last year because of this board and I'm hooked. 2026 may be the year of alternating between Reacher and Carl

1. Running Blind - Lee Child

The older I get the more I realize the "forced to read in high school" books are usually gems and looking back I wish I appreciated them more at the time

I was one of those stupid, or it feels stupid now, but if I was told to read it, it would be a struggle or I wouldn't.

It'll be between Hemingway, Remarque, or maybe Treasure Island

I hit my goal of 12 in 2025 (in 2024 goal was 12 but read 9)

Goal this year is 15 - hoping to surpass it and also read more to the kids - we started Harry Potter but didn’t finish it.

Never done this but I’m setting my goal at 12, one per month. Hoping to exceed.

According to Libby I did 116 in 2025. My guess is 80% are audio books and I probably didn't finish 10 so 106 seems right. I think I read 5 non Kindle books also.

I'm gonna shoot for 100 this year. I have some massive ones on my tbr that I'm going to tackle, Lonesome Dove I'll probably start at the end of January or beginning of February.

2025 Summary:

23 books, 11,711 pages. My goal was 10,000 pages.
8 audio books, 58.2 hours.

Favorite books: The Library at Mount Char, The Count of Monte Cristo, Dungeon Crawler Carl, The Devils. It's a good year when Oathbringer doesn't even crack the top 4.

Least favorite book: Ready Player One. I'm sorry, this book sucks

2026 goal is more pages read and more hours listened, less doom scrolling on the phone.

1. The Gate of the Feral God's by Matt Dinniman, 586p.
