On Tuesday morning, ESPN insider Jeff Darlington announced on Get Up that the New Orleans Saints nearly signed Tom Brady prior to him joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...

I thought this came out after he signed with the Bucs last year and has been mentioned multiple times on Saints board. The media said he’d talked to the Saints and wanted to go there if Drew didn’t come back. I wonder why it’s coming back up this season.

Yep, it was pretty bad. Gave Andrus Peat a big deal, busted on Emmanuel Sanders as he was inconsistent all year, and missed out on Tom f'n Brady. Unreal.
