Canadian Football League Bans Johnny Manziel For 2017 Season

You were so close dude! Johnny Manziel almost got a chance to play in the Canadian football League this season, but that has been halted by the CFL Commissioner...

"After an extensive process of due diligence and an in-person meeting with Mr. Manziel, the Commissioner has decided that he will not register any contract for Mr. Manziel for this season," the CFL statement noted. "However, Mr. Manziel will be eligible to sign a contract for the 2018 season and, if Mr. Manziel meets certain conditions that have been spelled out by the Commissioner, the CFL will register that contract.

"The specifics of those conditions are confidential and will not be disclosed. The CFL has extended the stay on the expiry of the 10-day window for Mr. Manziel until Nov. 30, 2017 and therefore Mr. Manziel will remain on Hamilton's negotiation list until that date."

Wonder what he did. Welp, more time for him to get dumped by his fiancé...

Damn. This is actually pretty sad. The dude is either a stubborn immature jackass who fails to understand that "his way" is a losing bet. Or he is caught in a self-destructive tailspin of drugs and alcohol that he cannot break out of. What's even sadder is that some TV network will probably give him a reality show of this trainwreck which will give him carte blanche to continue his antics instead of changing his life for the better. I mean, when the CFL is dictating terms to a former heisman winner, you know you've messed up.
