Rypien should’ve immediately requested a lawyer. No reason whatsoever to be voluntarily speaking to the cops like that. He talked himself into going to jail.

Why do “high profile individuals” get special treatment from law enforcement?
I wish “high profile individuals” could get fined more than your average criminal offender. Make them do something to earn their preferred criminal enforcement status.
