You should’ve just beat their arse and then you wouldn’t care
We beat everyone we were supposed to but lost every signature win opportunity we had, which sucks.

Vandy had a great team this year but the L is never acceptable.

Heupel isn’t a championship coach. I appreciate his rebuild but I won’t feel bad if he leaves after next season.

I still think Arch was playing hurt for awhile. His arm looks completely different
This is very on brand for longhorn people.

Hopefully aggies roll you. I need some humbled Texas fans around here
It’s exciting from an entertainment perspective and bragging rights. No real stakes behind it though.

Based on the CFP not rewarding SOS this year, I wish they’d stick with 8 until the committee gets their act together.

No point is losing rivalries and making the conference less competitive in the playoff picture
Most years you only need 4…and then some years maybe 6.

6 with two bye teams or 8 would be better.

12 was just about money.

ETA

The only exception I can think of is 2012 with Johnny Manziel where they were bona fide top 5 team by end of the season…just looked it up and they were 10th by season end. I’m sure there’s a couple others though.

Based on the committee this year, it's going to be a problem.
I'm not saying it has to be the BCS algorithms - there may be something better.

Just take the clown committee out of it. Their conference call explanations are brutal

Can't remember your opponent, but I remember seeing the three sacks in a row...pretty badass

Bring back the computers for the CFP

A committee for 4 teams might have made some sense to pick up nuance that a computer might miss (eg FSU losing their QB)

But at 12 teams, you don’t need that crap. Instead we have a bunch of bureaucrats with agendas imputing a bunch of nonsense, moving goalposts, and referring to retarded statistics/arguments. It’s become absurdly subjective.

I will concede that ND would whoop that gump arse though.

They’re still a well balanced team and a physical squad.

Bama peaked in October and has noticeably taken a step or two back. Ryan Williams disappears. Simpson couldn’t handle an aggressive defense. And Deboer can’t keep any consistency at an elite level.

Maybe they get it back but y’all are getting cold at the wrong time.

ND would whoop that Gump arse
Well they got worked by TX

They should get in over TX still
Seems to me OU is what TX wants to be and they're butthurt that they can't replicate it
Yeah, I'm not going to believe anything this guy says.
You gumps burned a Fran effigy

I’m not justifying us at all btw. We had a collective psychotic break over it.

re: How good is OU

I think OU and A&M are very similar teams tbh.

A&M ended up having an easier schedule (not their fault) and didn’t have their starting QB injured for a period. Both have great QBs, skill players and solid defense.
I’d say you’re right, in part.

In the old school days, great programs would have to wait 2-3 years for a senior laden team to make a serious run, and suffer 3-5 loss seasons in the interim. Saban broke the mold.

I think boosters have become impatient/have inflated expectations from NIL and the nature of big, annual $$ investment
Tbf y’all did the same thing when Franchione left
