Here Was Anthony Davis' Response To Being Booed By Pelicans Fans In First Game Back
© Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
Anthony Davis was booed by Pelicans fans in his first game back from being injured and since requesting a trade from the team. Here was his response to that, per ESPN's Michael C. Wright...
quote:

“That was definitely awkward. Boo? OK. It doesn’t matter to me. I’m going to go out there and play basketball. I was [surprised]. But hey, that’s life, man. Some people are not gonna like me. I’m just happy to be back on the floor playing the game that I love.”

Needs to leave that shitty franchise asap. Pels are good for one thing, wasting good players time.

Why are they playing Davis? Risking injury to him, which would hurt or potentially end trade potential and they are almost guaranteed a higher draft pick if they do not play him. Is there a requirement that they play him under the CBA?

$100,000 per game penalty if you sit healthy players

Yes. They would be fined for not playing him

Boo the franchise and management for putting a shitty product on the floor year after year.

I hate this new players run league crap. On the one hand I get it, and don’t necessarily disagree players should have some say. However, the outcome is a league where unless you are a big market team you are just the Washington Generals.

He deserves to be booed. Everyone knows what he’s done for franchise but he’s put us in a bad situation. 100% on AD.

AD hasn’t put us in a bad situation. This front office has put us in a bad situation year, after year, after year. They’ve had over seven years to build a competitive team around a talent like AD and have failed miserably to do so. Every year they blow up the roster, trade draft picks, and start from scratch the next season. You can’t build a team or win with that style of management. That’s why this franchise is in the position it’s in. Don’t blame AD for wanting to go to a place where he at least has a competent front office and a respectable chance to win. Surprised he lasted seven years before wanting out.
