Is this bragging? I feel like this is bragging. Newly appointed Texas head football coach Tom Herman wanted to show everyone that dreams do come true by tweeting out a picture of his old Texas business cards vs. new Texas business cards...

Bragging? Not at all, that'd be taking a picture of your pay stub. Taking pride in arriving where he wanted to be is perfectly fine, plus from GA to head coach at the same school is pretty cool.

Where he wanted to be? What do you mean? I didn't realize he was the LSU head coach, and everyone here assured me he wanted to be the LSU head coach... Nevermind the fact that his dream job was Texas and was clearly coming open from the start of the season.

I like Herman, his beautiful wife and family, his coaching style, how he builds and recruits, and know that energy could be here. I enjoyed watching his 73rd ranked 2* Roster beat FSU, OU, & Louisville and go 22-4 in 2 yrs. Herman’s agent, Trace Armstrong, works at the same firm that Sexton does. They’re both with CAA Sports, who also represents Nick Saban and Urban Meyer, among lots of others. So the failed ~7 mm offer to Fisher plus huge housing allowance detailed in a headline NOLA story and the Media was already known by Herman when Alleva came calling with "you are our 1st choice". Armstrong said that LSU could sign Herman for $6 million a year, much less than LSU discussed paying Fisher. Alleva, who already offered 5+ mm, got mad and "cowardly withdrew his offer in the middle of the night" and hired O. Herman signed with Texas for $5 million per year. The scout Alleva paid to recommend a coach said Herman was THE MUST-GET. Herman said that the LSU job was a better one than Texas. All we needed was an Emmert or Bertram to step in and say “pay the man”. Alleva has the clowncar bragging rights, AGAIN. He let the hottest coach in the country go and saved money to boot. Just like at Duke, It Is Not About The Truth.

I have a feeling that a lot of LSU fans will tune into Texas games over the next few years. I'll give you a silver lining though- Alleva won't make the next FB hire.

Poor guy is going to be eating crow after he flops at Texas

Lol. Year one, Texas wins 10+ games with Herman. Kinda funny people don't realize just how loaded Texas is next year. With Herman, they are going to blowup the Big 12.

Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark.

New card. What do you think? Picked them up from the printer's yesterday. That's bone. And the lettering is something called Silian Rail.

I'm sure the University fricked over a shite ton of money to have some graphic design company elongate that Longhorns nose and put a small bevel on the logo there

Texas hasn't updated their cards in 15 years. Lol no wonder they suck now, can't stop living in the past

Is it normal for a head coach to have a business card?

In theory I get it. Good general msg. Really slap in face of whomever else thought he was really considering them. Now really didn't think the whole leaving the contact info on there. Ha!! Signs of not really thinking it thru??
