What a crock of sh*t. If Sorsby was on the tennis team, they would've run him off within 5 minutes of seeing the allegations.

Texas tech looking pretty sleazy defending this kid. He broke the golden rule in sports and he has no legitimate argument for doing so. Let him go and move on.

This is the #1 rule you can't break in sports. Not only betting on any other sport or team, but betting on your own team. This is as cut and dry decision as there is to make. The only issue that would help is if they convinced the NCAA that he was an addict.

Then they need to take gambling out of the game -ESPN -sponsoring with sites etc.
Sanctimonious bullshite!
Players are going to bet, same reason we do, it’s fun and competitive. Don't be naive.
Hypocritical system in place

There used to be posters in the locker room that told the consequences of gambling. It was like the 10 commandments of betting or something like that. It definitely stated that you would be in a lot of trouble if you gambled.

We live in a time that when people break rules they don't believe that there should be consequences. My advice to Mr. Sorsby is to enter the Supplemental Draft.. however I doubt NFL teams will want to take a chance on a gambler that could create problems for their organization.

Most schools would do this because football pays the bills. It's sad but true!

Yep. Just go ahead and gamble, on your own team, make some underhanded money, go into treatment, all is forgiven. College sports is so fricked right now.

You get this when you give participation trophies to the last place teams which leads into no consequences for your actions. Just go ahead and let anarchy exist. F”ckk it. No rules. To each his own.

It's the times we live in. Gambling his legal, drugs are legal, etc etc etc. People kept widening the guardrails out society used to remain civil. Now there are none.
