Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule hasn't done much over the years in the NFL and CFB, but I gotta say, he did a helluva job with this speech...

Nah. This speech is inspiring but a terrible locker room speech. Thinking about a family member fighting cancer is sad and heavy. Motivational speech needs to get you fired up right before a game but be relatively simple like a quick emotional spike to get you amped back up as you take the field.

Now this is one hell of a pregame speech. Far superior to the "go out there and frick their asses up" garbage that passes as motivational speeches these days.

"that passes as motivational speeches these days"

Tell us you've never been in a locker room without actually saying it.

It's too heavy. I'll take a "go f these boys up" speech every time.

I did love that speech, I’m sure there’s only so many twist you can put on a great locker room speech, but that’s crazy close to the same speech that Ange Postecoglou, now an EPL coach, gave to the Australian National Team before one of their big games a few years ago…LINK
