Scottie Pippen Shares His Main Problem With Michael Jordan In New Book
© Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports
Former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen has made it clear he's not a fan of Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance documentary for ESPN. Now he's telling his side of the story in his new book, Unguarded, that comes out on Nov. 9. Pippen believes that Jordan’s main goal with The Last Dance was to prove that he is better than LeBron James, not tell the story of the 1990s Chicago Bulls...
quote:

Except Michael was determined to prove to the current generation of fans that he was larger-than-life during his day—and still larger than LeBron James, the player many consider his equal, if not superior. So Michael presented his story, not the story of the “Last Dance,” as our coach, Phil Jackson, billed the 1997–98 season once it became obvious the two Jerrys (owner Jerry Reinsdorf and general manager Jerry Krause) were intent on breaking up the gang no matter what happened.

It's all about money. I do think those in the documentary deserve some of the money that was earned.

I agree It's all about money, but for Jordan, who was paying for the documentary, Jordan or someone else?

Pippen still upset he can’t find an agent to get him paid.

Imagine how we would think of MJ if social media existed when he played…or how we would think of Lebron if it didn’t exist when he played.

Michael got paid because nobody would have watched it if he wasn't in it. Nobody watched the documentary for Steve Kerr or BJ Armstrong.

MJ may yet be the bad guy in all this but Pippen just comes across bitter and needs to just stop.

Has there ever been a bigger pussy, in all sports, than Scottie Pippen? When has he ever not been complaining about something?

Lebron James is the answer to your question.

Anyone who is old enough to have seen Jordan play knows that there is only one Jordan.

First off Pippen some people just can’t accept the “Robin” role. Jordan was always Batman and you could have even been a better Robin. But nooooooo deep down you always wanted to be Batman and you weren’t ever as good as Jordan. You showed your true colors when Phil drew up a play and let Kukoc take the last shot. And sitting on the Bench crying he still drained that b+€<. !!! I haven’t forgot that. Cry me a river Pipp. You have millions but it’s not enough bc Jordan has a billion.

"six titles in eight years--to propel him to the level of fame no other athlete, except Mohamed Ali, has reached in modern times" ---Bill Russell says hold my beer...

Member when Bill Russell won more than MJ and crying Lebron, combined? I member.

Bill Russell may very well be the goat but that is not the statement. It is far fetched to say Russell was more famous/popular worldwide than either Ali or Jordan.

Jordan transcended sport. Lots of legit lifelong basketball fans could not pick Bill Russell out of a lineup. It's sad, but true.

That's because it was his story. No MJ, no title run for Bulls and nobody would know who the rest of those guys are.

sounds like you're too biased to see the truth. MJ was and is a narcissistic a-hole terrible teammate. however, please remember this all just an act by all of them to make more money.
