Phil Jackson Shares Major Difference Between Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan
© Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports
If one person knew the difference between Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, it would be Phil Jackson. Per ESPN’s Tim McManus...
quote:

Jackson dished on the series, gave insight into the differences between Michael Jordan’s and Kobe Bryant’s approaches (Jordan rode his teammates hard and cussed them out, while Bryant set the tone by never allowing himself to be outworked) and stressed the importance of everyone on the team taking pride in their roles, no matter how big or small.

Two different paths to greatness, and Phil knew how to get the best out of both types. Mark of a true leader.

Ridiculous statement by Jackson. Jordan was known as a guy who was never outworked and Kobe also had a reputation for riding his teammate. The similarities between MJ and Kobe are much more prevalant then the differences that Jackson is trying to claim.

@Austin knowing more and saying more are not the same. Jackson always has an ulterior motive. Ask dwight Howard if Kobe rode teammates.

I agree completely. I cant tell you how many times I watched Kobe go off on a teammate while the cameras were right on him (Luke Walton, Smush Parker...) Sometimes it was deserved, but could have waited until they were in the locker room.
