Watch: Angel Reese Explains Her Trash Talk Towards Caitlin Clark

Can't we stop using race as an excuse for our actions? I only saw 2 teams of young ladies battling fiercely to win a National Championship for their school and community. I was extremely proud to be an LSU fan and very happy for the young ladies who gave it their all. Please stop fanning the flames of racism and show some LOVE!

It is important to display good sportsmanship. In a high school baseball game recently, the pitcher grabbed his nuts after the game while still on the mound after the last pitch. It was clearly intentional and he even said FU to the other team. That same pitcher will probably get one in the ribs this coming week to remind him about sportsmanship.

The ones that should be catching all the venom here are the refs! BUT...be a gracious winner...and...loser. You can't go wrong.

The only fans that matter to me are LSU fans so the rest can get big mad for all I care.

It's wild how much hate people have for her. She actually comes across as a very caring person. I love the hug she gave Holly Rowe at the end of their interview together. I don't fault her for what she did or her reasoning. And it's really not the big deal some are making it out to be. Clark has absolutely done similar things all tournament long. She had it coming to her. It's all good. Clark isn't crying about it. Reese still had incredibly high praise for Clark.

Right or wrong, this will not go away quickly. I read the Iowa boards and they are in melt down, and have labeled us all as classless because of this. I know it's still raw right now but it'll take a few mins for this to blow away. I wish it wasn't part of the win. Doing it for a hot second is one thing, following her and continuing to do it was needless.

Thank goodness Reese did not hurt her team with a technical foul (like the Hawkeye star), That was a selfish act that came at a critical point in the game.

Reese should have taken the high road and I thought it was a little classless. That being said, Clark comes off as an arrogant brat. The way she disrepected the S. Carolina player. The technical foul called on her against LSU was immature on her part. She is an incredible player to watch otherwise.

The whole waving off thing was overblown to begin with and then it wasn’t even done to your team. Have more class.

When I saw Reese do that, I thought it was pretty crappy too. However, after I saw her explanation, I have no problem with her talking a little trash back at Clark. Surprised to see her sticking up for the SEC, too….
