Get ready for the biggest away game LSU party ever when the 2010 Tiger Kickoff Bash hits The Tabernacle on Friday Sept. 3rd featuring Bag of Donuts, Travis Matte & the Kingpins and Amanda Shaw. It's a great way to kick off the weekend before LSU kicks off its season against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Georgia Dome. The LSU Tiger Marching Band will also make an appearance for 15 minutes, so you don't want to miss that. The event starts at 8 pm.

Fiddler Amanda Shaw is one of the most exciting young entertainers to come from bayou country in many a year. She was recently featured on an episode of Discovery Channel's "After the Catch" that was taped at the Blue Nile in New Orleans. Here's a montage of a recent show she headlined there. Travis Matte has been an LSU fan favorite since his song "Tiger Tailgate Party" became a Tiger standard in 2007. Check it out here. And as for Bag of Donuts, they are simply defy description and must be experienced to understand why they are New Orleans' favorite party/show band.

Ticket prices are $25 for standing room floor and $45 for reserved balcony level padded seats. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the LSU Tiger Marching Band. Help us spread the word and sell out this show!

I'm supposed to be hosting a rather elaborate event that night. If the plans fail, I'll be there.

I'll be there but the event sounds a tad bit overhyped.

How so? The lineup is strong with both a legit national up and comer, an LSU fan favorite and New Orleans' longtime fave party band. This is three times the firepower of the bash in Seattle last year that drew 1,500. (and yes, the Tabernacle is advised that Tiger fans DRINK A LOT OF BEER and they WON'T RUN OUT!)

There's more that hasn't even been announced yet, like:

- 2 local groups, Zydefunk and Zydeco T, will be playing in the showroom downstairs.
- Prize Giveaways from the stage
- DJ between acts is an LSU fan- no lame break music!
- Special appearance by the incomparable EVIL TWINS
- One more possible special guest TBD...stay tuned.

Maybe this helps. You forced me to give up almost all the goods a week early!

Good question. It is an ALL AGES show/concert facility. Overwhelming majority will be over 21 and it will be a party "club" atmosphere. However, the mgt. is well trained to keep things sorted out. High profile places like that have to tow the line in ATL.

we will have 11 people which 9 are over 21 and 2 people are 20 so we will be there acting a fool getting ready for the game
