NFL.com writer Mike Huguenin pegged LSU at No. 2 right behind Miami in his Wide Receiver University top 10 list on Thursday. Florida was the only other SEC school on list at No. 6.

Here is what Huguenin had to say about LSU:
quote:

2. LSU
First-round picks last 15 years: 4
Top three rounds: 10
Total drafted: 14
The skinny: Odell Beckham, Jr., stamps a certain approval on LSU's claim. He's one of the most exciting young players in the NFL. Beckham was a first-round pick last year, as were Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis in 2007, and Michael Clayton in 2004. Jarvis Landry, a second-rounder in 2014, made 84 catches as a Dolphins rookie. Other LSU pros in the span: Devery Henderson, Josh Reed, Brandon LaFell and Rueben Randle.

It kills me how you get other teams fans to come look at an LSU sports site much less create a name and make stupid comments is life that boring for these people?I have never looked at another teams web page and to be honest I can't stand watching any game that doesn't have the Saints,Tigers,Pelicans and sometimes the Braves playing in it.All you grammar cops suck too paste and copy that to your forehead...

I tell you what LSU is....9-3 vs. Miami All-time. That last meeting in the ChickFilA Bowl was 40-3 LSU. Miami fired coaches and still haven't recovered. LOL!!!

Haha, I love it. As soon as anyone questions the rationale of the guy who did this list, it becomes, "Oh, they mad!"

If we had better QBs, we would be ranked No.1 WRU.

"Miami's making their living on the early 2000's. Hard to dispute the obscene amount of talent that the Canes were churning out during that time."

I mean, I guess so, but let's be honest here: Reggie Wayne and Santana Moss are in their 15th seasons. Andre Johnson in his 12th. Why not just cut the dates of at 10 years? 15 years is random as hell. May as well say, "In the last 23 years, 6 months, Ohio State has produced more first round draft picks than any other team at the wide receiver position," and then list all retired players from over 20 years ago to show how Ohio State is currently "WRU." It's just a dumb list. Makes me think the writer has a thing for Miami.

O nevermind. I just searched. He's a Bama guy. I guess that makes sense, too.

"So Miami is RBU and WRU? Ok."

Of course we are not the #1 WR university. Our guys do not get the ball thrown to them enough to show all of their talent. It takes the NFL (Odell Beckham) to showcase how well we recruit.
