LSU coach Lane Kiffin spoke with the media on Thursday and said the team's biggest concern right now is offensive line depth.

During his comments, Kiffin suggested that Wednesday's ruling regarding fifth-year eligibility could potentially provide a solution if LSU needs to go that route:
quote:

"It's a concern. It's high on our list of concerns right now. We have to continue to get guys better; they have to improve so we feel more confident with that."

"Before yesterday, we normally would say our team is our team, so it's what we got. But I guess that potentially changed yesterday."
Through fall camp so far, LSU's first-team offensive line has been:

LT: Jordan Seaton
LG: Bo Bordelon
C: Braelin Moore
RG: Aliou Bah
RT: Weston Davis

Several other linemen that could be in the mix include Devin Harper, William Satterwhite II, Sean Thompkins Jr., Darrin Strey, and others.

Sorting out the depth behind the starters will be a focus for Kiffin and his staff as the season opener approaches.

Is he talking about some guys who went in the NFL draft who might be coming back?

think so

Surprised it's not DE or CB but I guess I shouldn't be. Most of the o-line pickups seemed like just bodies aside from Seaton, Bah, and Harper. And Harper is getting beat out by Bordelon

As long as no one gets hurt we will be okay

I like the optimism, but it's a violent contact sport. Players usually get hurt...unfortunately. He seems to be thinking ahead.

We have 21 OLinemen. I remember during Les years having 12 to 15 Olinemen. The ones on the team must be young. Which some are or not many snaps.

The fact they didn’t replace Weston Davis after last year is kind of dumbfounding

Some media sources are saying that Weston has improved quite a bit from last year due to competent coaching this season. So let’s not write Weston off just yet. Let’s see if he’s actually improved and can live up to that 5 star rating with good coaching.
