Star linebacker Devin White was in attendance at the LSU-Alabama basketball game at the PMAC on Tuesday night and was shown on the jumbotron, which led to "One More Year" chants:

From a selfish fan's point of view...I say come back for one more season and be forever etched in our hearts and minds. But from a reasonable point of view, take the money and run. Whatever Devin White decides to do is okay with me, not that it matters, but just saying. GO TIGERS!

Remember, he will have an insurance safety net that would make him a millionaire+ should something happen. DW strikes me as so balanced that a couple million would set him and his family for life. The passion and love he gets here will NOT be felt at the NFL level......he knows this. Whether he stays or goes, he wins.....but for different reasons.

An insurance policy written so that it’s nearly impossible to actually make a legit claim (see articles written on past examples)

I think DW wants to come back. I think he loves LSU and playing football for LSU. But he also knows that the risk may not be worth the reward. Hard decision.

You know I think I'm indifferent on his decision... he's done a lot for LSU on the field... and there are other great LB's wait for their chance behind him... he should truly just do want he wants to do. The only reason I see him coming back is if the players the coaches and most of all he himself have convinced him that that 2019's LSU team will compete for a playoff. Personally I think LSU is one or two years away from such a thing so... yeah

All you people telling him to stay are selfish as frick.

And you’re dumb as frick. 3 of Clemson’s DL would’ve been first round picks last season and came because they wanted more for their program. It Devin leaves I’ll wish the best & will have no animosity towards him. If he decides to stay he will have cemented his legacy and be an all time LSU legend. So STFU

Dude is 0 more plays away from having more money than any of us will have the opportunity to make. If HE wants to come back, sure. But to suggest even a little bit that it's the better move for him to come back is fully retarded. But I wouldn't expect much more from you mouth-breathers.

Clemson just won the natty in large part because some players committed to staying. Also why Bama has won so much.

This is a fact.

Do you think LSU is a Devin White away from winning the NC?

Hell even if he stayed to provide some leadership and only play if he can't help but play. I'd be all in for that also. Or he could step in when he feels the team could use his presence.

He needs to go get paid.

And he will be handsomely paid after one more year.

Why risk it when playing another year won’t improve his draft position and exposes him to injury?
