Many LSU fans headed to campus this week to collect used sod from Tiger Stadium to take home a piece of LSU history.

One of those fans was Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards who planted it the lawn at the governor's mansion.

Just stop. He never threatened to shutdown LSU football. He was arguing that if we don't overcome a budget shortfall and are unable to pay university staff - universities could be delayed and it could affect the academic standing of even athletes.
