Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports
Former LSU and current Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice made his return to the football field on Thursday night for the first time since suffering a torn ACL during last year's NFL preseason.

Guice rushed for 44 yards on 11 carries and looked solid in his return.

He is certainly running better and harder than Fournette was at that stage. Although, Fournette looks to be a different cat this season, he's been resting on his LSU fame in Jacksonville for far too long, and those people are tired of it. I don't understand him (Fournette), I mean what you did at LSU means absolutely nothing at the pro level. Now is when you start proving what a great RB you are, he's got the message now and I hope he has a breakout season because he's gone if he doesn't. He was King when he first arrived there, the Jaguar people thought the world of him, but not anymore. Either he runs like he's capable of or he'll be a bust, and that would be disappointing. I actually thought with his size, power, and speed and he's also great catching the ball, just couldn't prove it at LSU because they had zero passing game when he was there. But I thought he could at least equal what Ezekiel Elliot was doing, boy, was I wrong.

Doesn't help when you have a QB like Bortles who can't prevent 8 men in the box. Was not a good situation for LF initially but I'm giving this year for him to have a breakout type season.

Happy for Guice finally getting his chance to shine! Long as he aint facing the Saints, I hope he tears it up this year.

Amazing that we had LF & DG on the same team. Reminds me of the Hilliard & James Gang at LSU in the early 80's. LF & DG may have been more talented if they could have stayed healthy. Would like to see them both Excel in the NFL & I really think they will. There both on teams w/Head Coaches that are old school & aren't afraid to give em 20-25 touches a game. If healthy I think they can both make multiple Pro Bowls & challenge for the most rushing yards by a RB every year.

Gonna have a better pro career than LF if he stays healthy and keeps his head on straight. Two things LF can’t seem to figure out. Book it.

I love Leo, but Lanard will likely be a better pro at this point

Regardless they both have about 2 years left in the pros as starters.

Yall can't be serious, right? LF did act selfish & immature last year but not anything that bad. It's not like he pulled a T.Owens or R Leaf for God's sake. LF's always been on teams that won lots of games & he was always the best player on the field. Until last year, plus he played thru nagging injuries both years since the Jags drafted him. He was also injured his last 2 years at LSU but only sat out when he absolutely HAD TO but damn near hit the 2k mark one of those years at LSU. He has to stay healthy & if he does he will be a fixture at Pro Bowls every year.
