Following the Vikings' win over the Packers on Sunday, Aaron Rodgers went up to former LSU star Justin Jefferson and told him he was the "best player in the game today."

Jefferson finished the game with nine receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

Aaron Rodgers wanted Jefferson bad when he came out in the draft. I remember him talking about it during that summer after.

Maybe, them two pushing each other with Marshall right there was the best scenario for all of them. Who can get the most open for Joe...

Just in case JJ needed an ego boost

Dr Eric on PFF said the same thing about Jefferson on the week 1 recap show

The idea of Burrow throwing to Chase and Jefferson against college kids just seems not fair in hindsight.

All 3 will end up in the HOF.

Aaron mentioned before the draft how much he like Jefferson and wanted to draft him. They took Jordan Love. Lol

JJ was 4 picks before GB picked J. Love. Interesting though how history seemed to repeat itself from when the Vikings drafted Randy Moss. Besides Lamb, look at the other 3 WRs drafted before JJ and the CB that the Raiders reached on in round 1. LINK

There were 4 WRs taken before JJ. Ruggs, Judy, Lamb & Reagor. BRILLIANT!!!

The announcer said it best there. "How'd he get so wide open?!"

Same thing I used to say when at LSU.

Dude just has an ungodly knack for slipping into the right spaces.

I don't think it is a "knack" - I just remain convinced that he works extremely hard at being a WR. The little things - skip steps, hard drive into/out of cuts, runs every route like it is his last. That all adds up.

I actually think Rodgers said that he was “The best player on the field today”. At least thats what it sounded like to me?

You can take that two different ways.
