Update: LSU has hired Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly.

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin is the favorite to become Ed Orgeron's replacement at LSU, ahead of Mark Stoops, Matt Campbell, Luke Fickell, Dave Aranda, and Bill O'Brien, according to BetOnline.

Several of the coaches with odds for the LSU job also have odds to become the next coach at Oklahoma.

Damn! Gotta give it to Woodward. Kelly wasn't on basically anyone's radar.

Neither had Saban, Miles and Orgeron before they came to LSU.

Brian Kelley can beat Alabama and win a National Championship at LSU.

Am I the only one that thinks this silence, and other coaches getting hired are signs that Woodward has a BOMB he is getting ready to drop? It’s gonna be HUGE

Geaux Tigers!

Yeah, I think you are. The silence is because SW is in full scramble mode because he went all in on Riley and got left standing at the altar with no good backup.

Yep it’s all done. The interim HC will be promoted.

Lincoln Riley left Oklahoma to get the hell out of the self destructive SEC.....Lane Kiffin seems to love this kind of stuff...

Riley knows it is going to easier to win in the PAC 12 than the SEC. He took the easy route out!

The fact that OU has a longer candidate list than LSU. . . and that job's been open 2 days (vs 6 weeks) says a lot. SMH
user avatar
dagrippa29 months
ok...what does that say? Would you be happy to add Bob Stoops, Venables, Heupel et al?
user avatar
BayouBengal9929 months
Says a lot ? Ours was open for two days and we had twice as many coaches on our list. How many of those coaches on that list would be a realistic candidate for LSU, that says a whole lot more! Gosh some of our fans spew the dumbest crap on this damned forum, it’s got to be a joke when these more mature young recruits see it! Men less mature than boys! Go figure!

Scott Woodward: "Coach O, we're letting you go for incompetence. But who would you recommend?".

Ed O and Woodward always maintained a certain level of respect and professionalism towards one another. Ed Knows it was for the best of the School
