Former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Justin Jefferson are off to a hot start to their NFL careers and landed at No. 2 and No. 3 for ESPN's 2020 NFL Rookie Rankings.

Former Oregon and current LA Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert landed at No. 1 in the rankings.
quote:

2. Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
Stats: 2,485 yards, 65.4% completion rate, 12 TDs, 5 INTs (130 rushing yards, 3 TDs)
Drafted: No. 1 overall

In the first month of the season, Burrow became the first rookie to have three consecutive 300-yard passing games -- and he added another 300-yard passing game in Week 6 and a 406-yard, three-touchdown effort in Week 7 to the list. Only Tampa Bay's Tom Brady has thrown more times this season than Burrow.

3. Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Stats: 42 receptions, 762 yards, 3 TDs
Drafted: No. 22 overall

Monday night was his third game of the season with at least 135 yards receiving, and while quarterback Kirk Cousins often looks elsewhere in the red zone -- Jefferson has seven games this season without a touchdown catch -- the rookie receiver is a key part of Gary Kubiak's passing game. His 18.1 yards per catch ties him for fourth in the league with Seattle's DK Metcalf.

Herbert is good, but he shouldn't be ranked ahead of Burrow.

Also, J Jefferson is putting up similar stats to his breakout season last year. Incredible!

God burrow is so good. I never saw it coming. He’s completely shocked me since after the 2018 season.

Herbert has been really good, but that Chargers team around him is a whole lot better than that Bengals team around Burrow. Every minute I have actually got to watch cincy, I have spent the entire time saying “these guys are awful”.

Even if Patrick Queen hasn’t had a stellar last couple games he should be on this list.

Only thing that’s a bigger joke than chase young on that list is Patrick queen not even mentioned in the article. Does ESPN let Anyone write for them. It’s like Twitter.

Unfortunately Patrick Queen's 1st half of the season hasnt matched the 2nd half of the season so far. He has been shaky in coverage, and teams are picking on him. Still is all over the field and has big flashes of good things.
