Talented two-sport LSU signee Maurice Hampton announced late Monday night that he is headed to LSU after he went undrafted in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

Hampton originally sent out a tweet that said:

"God knows my worth and has a plan for me..... Baton Rouge I’m coming home and I’m ready to work. #ForeverLSU"
That tweet has since been deleted.

Hampton is from Memphis, TN and played cornerback and outfield at Memphis University School.

Good choice young fella! I promise the MLB will still be there in 3 years, and so might the NFL once the Tigers are through with you. Plus, nobody ever said they wished they HADN'T gone to college.
