Original:
FootballScoop.com is reporting that LSU staff members Ryan Pugh and Chevis Jackson will be leaving Baton Rouge to join Frank Wilson's coaching staff at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
quote:

UTSA: Sources tell FootballScoop Frank Wilson plans to hire Jacksonville Jaguars senior offensive assistant Frank Scelfo as offensive coordinator, LSU grad assistant Ryan Pugh as offensive line coach and LSU defensive analyst Chevis Jackson coaching part of the defensive backs. We understand InsideRunnerSports is reporting the same.
Pugh joined LSU staff last February as an offensive graduate assistant and worked under offensive line coach Jeff Grimes who was his position coach when Pugh played at Auburn.

Jackson, who played cornerback at LSU from 2004-2007, joined LSU's staff last March and worked with the secondary under defensive back coach Corey Raymond.

I met Chevis at the LSU/Oklahoma BCSCG, when he was still in HS. He was on a recruiting visit. Nice guy.

I understand the hate for Peveto, but he's prime reason why we are getting these Texas guys. Should he moved from special teams? Hell yes, should he fired? No!

UTSA is going to be solid under FW. That program has tremendous potential and support for a mid-major, and a young, energetic coach like FW is just what they need to get to the next level.
