LSU athletic director Scott Woodward delivered some good news on Wednesday.

During his appearance on 104.5 "Off The Bench" Baton Rouge radio, Woodward announced that tailgating on LSU's campus this fall will be back on and "wide open."
quote:

"Tailgating is going to be wide open and hopefully fun," Woodward said. "This (Tiger Stadium vaccination) policy doesn't apply to tailgating and I want to make that clear. This is strictly for the entrance of the stadium."

"But we want people to be safe out there and do the smart thing that you do when you are going around your normal life. Practice a little social distancing because this is a very nasty virus with this variant being very, very virulent and we just need to be very careful. But these policies do not affect tailgating but please, for everyone, be very careful."

They’ll change the rules the Wednesday before the first home game. Gotta get you suckers sucked in and committed first.

If they change the rules, then so be it…I’m just ready for some “Saturday night in Tiger Stadium”!

they are only worried about the areas where LSU could be held liable

I was thinking this too

"Practice a little social distancing". Yeah, let's post signs telling people to stand 6 feet apart when getting their jambalaya.

Just prove you are vaccinated or have a negative Covid test and you can tailgate with mask and plastic shields.

After reading Woodward’s medical advice, I asked my doctor to test me for this new strain that is so dangerous to everyone. He said, can’t, test doesn’t exist. These clowns are insane. Pushing fear and hypocrisy at every turn.

Never have tested for a specific strain when doing individual testing. So what’s your point? Also, I’d love to know the name of your doctor so I can ask him/her for some medical advice? Who do you listen to?

“These are the places on campus which LSU has determined you are able to exercise your freedoms like Americans. These are the places you may not.” frick this. frick that. frick this thinking in particular.

Of course there’s negativity with some of you. No restrictions on tailgating and yet still ??. Unreal

Because it’s hypocrisy thats why

Tailgate by the masses, passing around drinks and food….no restrictions. Walk into a stadium…must have mask on. Makes total sense

Truth! TD should create a page and call it “tigerbitchingandwining”

The biggest problem is, vaccinated people could still be carrying it, so all the people let in with a negative test could easily be infected by all the vaccinated untested people.

Stop it with all the truth and logic. LOL.

So, thousands of checked people next to each other ok, but thousands of unchecked people next to each other not OK. Makes sense.

don't forget all those checked people hanging out with unchecked people and then going into stadium. This has to be the most dumb policy ever. Vaccine doesn't protect you against others. Only helps lessen symptoms if you get rona.

WAFB said no stadium restrictions two weeks ago as well. Once the refund deadline passes, I bet restrictions are administered.

There's really no way to make sure everyone in a square mile is vaccinated. That's 25,000,000 square feet which is how big tailgating expands. Going into the stadium they can check at ticket scan. Really they're allowing it because if they said it wasn't okay, there'd be 0 way to enforce with how many show up.

Need to put the current President (LSU) in check.

Don't look the fricking gift horse in the mouth. They could have imposed the same dumbass restrictions. They didn't.

Fuk them. LSU is about to feel the economic pinch for unwise decisions by Administrators and Wonder Boy Scott Woodward. Woodward hired a Woman' Basketball Coach for 2.5 million annually. This is a coach of a program which loses 4-5 million dollars per season. Now it will lose over 6.5 million dollars per season as Mulkey's contract is 1.75 million higher than her predecessor. Now Good Ole Woody has this Covid ticket/entry policy to his credit. LSU is now the ONLY SEC school doing this nonsense. Idiots.

Rob, you do know that when a sports program gets better it gains more money, right?

Hey Nikodumbass, Yes and I also know when you overspend you never get your money back. Women's Basketball is a money loser everywhere. The NCAA lost 12.5 million putting on the Women's Tournament last year. You know why? It is because the Advertising dollars are not there. Companies do not see a return on their investment in paying top dollar for Advertising in Women's Basketball. That is a fact. So exactly what is Ms. Mulkey going to bring to LSU that will turn a losing women's program into a money making enterprise? It is not happening.

Lol. The virus is only spreading in Tiger Stadium and while you walk to your seat at a restaurant. Tailgating and when you are seated at restaurant, you are safe! All of this is clown world
