League commissioner Greg Sankey announced this week that SEC Media Days will be held in Atlanta at the College Football Hall of Fame from July 16-19, 2018.

The event, which has been held in Hoover, AL at the Wynfrey Hotel for the last 17 year will return to Hoover in 2019. Per AL.com:
quote:

"SEC Football Media Days is a signature event for our conference and we are pleased the city of Atlanta will host this kickoff to the 2018 college football season," Sankey said "SEC Football Media Days is now added to Atlanta's inventory of great events, which includes the annual SEC Football Championship Game and this season's College Football Playoff Championship Game. We are looking forward to building an exciting week next July to feature our student-athletes and coaches."

Should rotate between all schools, and move the league offices every few years as well. Of course, they won’t!

All of the sec offices and personnel should follow. No reason for it to be in Alabama.

Why is it only LSU fans ever call for the SEC offices to be moved?

The farther from Bama the better. Best case is move it to MS where no threat exists since Mississippi teams suck. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Atlanta has the SEC championship Nola has the Sugar Bowl tie in Birmingham has the main office Nashville = Media day Houston = baseball St. Louis = basketball The big three plus the major events are then spread across the larger markets. The other sports can rotate as well to further enhance the conference footprint. For example... Baseball - Hoover, Metairie, Houston, Charlotte and Orlando. Having virtually everything in three cities (Atlanta, Birmingham and NOLA) tends to isolate the brand even within the region. Just my .02.

I think it’s hilarious how people think bama gets preferential treatment because of the location of the SEC office

Their success has nothing to do with their number 1 recruiting classes every year
