LSU safety Jay Ward is coming back for his senior season, according to Shea Dixon with 247Sports.

Ward, a former three-star recruit from Moultrie, Ga., developed into one of LSU's best defenders in 2021.

He recorded 70 tackles this past season, which ranked third on the team and had two interceptions.

Hope Jay can get more physical against the run/tackling. He's wanted no part of anybody with the ball in their hands last few years.

Ward has that extra something that you can't teach, it's just there. Call it fluidity or light on your feet or whatever the term is, he has that it thing. He's gonna be my favorite to watch in 22 on the D side and glad he's back.
