Multiple sources are reporting that LSU freshman running back Tre Bradford has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Bradford, a former four-star prospect from Lancaster, Texas played in three games last season, rushing for a total of 58-yards on 11 carries. He caught a big receiving touchdown in LSU's 37-34 win over No. 6 Florida.

This was expected from me. Five RBs on roster and a free, play immediately transfer year. Why hope to get carries being the man in the middle when you can possibly start at a place with less comp. Goodwin, at least from my perspective, is a better version of the role Bradford would play, and I think he could get a serious amount of snaps this year.

Good luck to the kid but I hate this transfer portal BS.

I think it's beneficial but needs to be case by case situation, IMO. just because a kid doesnt feel like putting in the hours and win the job, doesnt mean he gets to peace out, ESPECIALLY if you're taking up a scholly.

Josh Reed switched positions and went on to the NFL. Why transfer if you’re buried on the depth chart because it maybe for a very good reason. Nobody wants to do what it takes to get on the field.

The Transfer portal = instantaneous college player free agency. A failed experiment. They need to limit transfer approvals for hardship cases, e.g. mental health challenges, ill family members, ...etc. The portal contributing to young athlete confusion about life choices and wasting university resources. In life and on the job, you earn your keep. On the field, you compete and earn your spot. The portal is feeding empty egos searching for themselves.

I mean what are these kids supposed to do? Sit a few years and then get a chance to start and shine in one season and go in the first round like Clyde did?

I thought he was good. Curry should have never played over him.

It's just too early to know whether this man would have been a star here. Halls of Fame are filled with players who didn't start right away. Too bad for him that he will have never gotten the opportunity to run out on the field at Tiger Stadium with a full crowd behind him.

2 experienced and very talented guys in front of him, two very talented guys behind him. If he has a chance to go back to Texas, and play at Texas he probably will. This year is a "play immediately" transfer year. That's why so many guys are doing it.
