LSU defensive tackle Dominic Livingston has reportedly entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to Brody Miller with NOLA.com.

Livingston, a freshman from Houston, TX, appeared in just one game in 2018 but did not record a stat. The former three-star prospect was a one-time Texas A&M commit but signed with the Tigers as part of the 2018 class.

It started with QBs.....and it continues to grow steam: play me or I’m taking my ball and leaving. fricking entitled generation.

If it's the generation then why is other SEC schools not running into this issue? What a stupid arse generalization to make.

QBs take a while to develop mentally (which is why I don't understand them wanting to play year 1), but linemen take a while to develop physically--they usually come in fluffy (which is why I don't understand them wanting to play year 1).

Ok if we are playing this game of transferring because you don't want to earn your way, then let's get another transfer D line guy to replace them that are better. I hear South Carolina has a guy that left that's pretty good.

We have ZERO room to take a transfer, unless they agree to pay their own way and walk on and sit out the first year. We signed 25 and are over 85. We can’t add anyone new that would be eligible to play in 2019.

Nothing final. Mr Cotton decided to stay. He's allowed to change his mind.

The only problem with this portal crap is that there has to be a place for these kids to go. For instance a kid transferring from OU (4 in portal) has to have a roster spot to go to. There are not nearly as many roster spots available as there are kids in the portal. Then there is the fact that many times these kids will screw themselves just like Lowell Narcisse did and end up giving up a Scholly at LSU and end up at UTSA.

The biggest issue is that teams can now illegally recruit players already signed by others. There needs to be an anti-tampering rule put in place, otherwise, other teams are going to be calling your players year around offering false promises of more playing time and extra benefits.

LSU losing young DT's will STING badly next year!

I really hate losing a player on the DL but LSU has 92 scholarship players on the roster and they have to get down to the NCAA mandated 85 scholarship players. Coach O and the rest of LSU coaches are going to have to find a way to shave 6 players off the roster I just hope the 6 players are players way, way down on the depth chart who don't have a chance of seeing any playing time.

Any reason to think CEO or any other coach would cut starters as opposed to bench warmers or practice players?

It just makes no sense. These guys want to play big boy football in the SEC but find out they’re not good enough to start right away. So what do they do? They run away from competition like a scared little girl. This entitlement generation is going to destroy college football.

Could see this young man going home to UH or taking his skills to Austin, TX... I would love a few do-overs but this young man needs to re-boot his work ethic and put his best fott forward in Baton Rouge, LA... I'll question too if Livingston is at some risk of being processed... Best of luck to him. Geaux Tigers.

Looks like dline will be the next epidemic at LSU just like QB was under Miles. One of several reasons Miles was canned was his QBs. Looks like this will be Orgeron's undoing. Can't recruit dline. lol wtf?

The man convinces two juniors with draft potential to stay for their senior year and signs one of the best DT's in the country but you decide to focus on the 3 star roster filler that is transferring...awesome!
