College Football Insider Bruce Feldman is reporting that Brian Kelly has let go of LSU passing game coordinator DJ Mangas.

Feldman added that LSU analyst Carter Sheridan has been bumped up to replace Mangas and work with the wide receivers for the Texas Bowl vs. Kansas State.

Mangas was hired by former LSU coach Ed Orgeron last January from Carolina Panthers.

Mangas was formerly on LSU's staff during the 2019 Championship season, working under Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady. He was the offensive coordinator at William & Mary before coming to Baton Rouge in 2019.

It was probably like that scene in office space where the guy explained what he did before getting fired.

Back in the day the OC was the "passing game corrdinator." Coaching staffs in general today are so bloated. Basketball is worse where it feels like each player has a coach on staff.

Mangas didn't do anything good all year, just a head ache. Couldn't recruit worth a damn and didn't produce squat on the field, a huge head ache has been let go so maybe the offense will be better. Will see if Peete is worth a damn but I would can him too
