One of the most highly anticipated games of the college football season is finally here as No. 7 LSU travels to Oxford to face No. 8 Ole Miss on Saturday night. Kickoff from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.

The matchup has been circled for months, with Lane Kiffin returning to Oxford for the first time since leaving Ole Miss to become LSU's head coach.

LSU improved to 2-0 last weekend with a 45-14 win over Louisiana Tech, while Ole Miss moved to 2-0 with a 41-9 victory over Charlotte.

Ole Miss won last year's matchup 24-19 in Oxford. LSU won the previous meeting 29-26 in overtime in Baton Rouge in 2024, while Ole Miss won a 55-49 shootout in Oxford in 2023.

This will be the 115th meeting between the two schools. LSU leads the overall series 66-44-4. Series History.

I think this game could very easily resemble LSU vs Miami in the CFA Bowl in the 05 season.
