Preseason polls are merely conversation starters. If guys like Phil would actually be judged by this list at the end of the year then it would look very different.

I have no problem with LSU at 15 since we don't have a QB. But of course Bama is at #2 with the same problem, a new OL and holes to fill on D...I guess their SOS plays a part in it.

Auburn @ 9, just means the SEC will solve their offensive as LSU already has.

I can't wait for this season to start so that we can prove that the ranking of 15 is wrong. Being that I work for DISH, I know that we'll have The SEC Network, and I can enjoy it all in the comforts of home. Geaux Tigers!

In Phil Steele's preseason pole... How is he gonna put AU at 9 after winning the sec & nearly beating his #1? I get that it's a tough schedule, but this is a preseason poll, and the majority of the team is back

We have 8 of our 12 game regular schedule on this list. Starts with Wisconsin to start the season, then 6 of the 7 teams in tough SEC West Division on this list plus Florida as our SEC East permanent opponent. Get past that with only one loss!...geez...and we have fans complain about a 2-3 loss season. And Arkansas will me improved...that's a buzz saw of a schedule for LSU.
