It appears that Ole Miss leading wide receiver Elijah Moore has decided to opt of the Rebels season finale vs. LSU on Saturday night to focus on the NFL Draft. Moore caught 86 passes for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

Ole Miss will also be without starting tight end Kenny Yeboah who is also opting out.

One game left and it is in 2 days and these 2 SOB's opts out. Real team players and commitment by these two. Nice job working on your draft stock. Hope it drops like a rock.

Isn’t this the same dude that cost Ole Miss a game by doing a dog-peeing celebration last year? Guess this isn’t the most surprising news.

Protect yourself? Please...these are pussies!! The game is in 2 days then he has the rest of his life to prepare and play in the NFL. I hope his stock drops for this shitty move. This is quitting on the team, school, fans, etc. The school needs to protect themselves to stop this opt out and portal bullshite because there are more free agents in college football than the NFL, which is sad. The rule is simple, keep it 3 years playing (not 3 years from high school) and no opting out and no more transfer portal (have to sit out a year when you change schools, even if you go down a level... period! That will stop that shite. Another thing that will stop the opt outs you are seeing like these 2 duds 2 days before the last game, or Terrace Marshall opting out 3 games ago which is a couple games after he gave a speech to bring the team together (lol), or even Ja'marr Chase who opted out before the season, or Arik Gilbert even as a freshman. Shaun Wade CB from Ohio State, Tate Martell Miami QB, Jamie Newman QB Georgia, etc. All who opt out have to wait ONE YEAR to get drafted. One year per year they feel so priveleged to walk away from the school who gives them a free education and the platform to become a NFL player. Let me clear... due to Covid or (WHEN A REAL PANDEMIC HAPPENS) the ones who opt out BEFORE the season starts is OK, but once you commit and don't bow out because of the virus then you are committed. No opting out afterwards, or you have to sit out the upcoming draft.

Wait, LSU players aren’t the only players opting out? Pudding pop softies

I couldn’t care either way if a player stays for a game or leaves but let’s stop calling it “opting out.” I believe that’s if they skip the season altogether. If they leave now it is “quitting” regardless of how it’s spun.

Guess with the new $$$ rules coming down the pike for NCAA athletes, this type of quitting during the season may be over, maybe?
