Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports
Following the Giants' 38-13 playoff loss to the Packers in Green Bay, former LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. reportedly punched a hole in a wall and banged his head against a locker room door, according to ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.
quote:

Grounds crew members told Paolantonio that they heard someone hitting the wall outside the crew's locker room at Lambeau Field, which is located adjacent to the interview room where Beckham had just spoken with reporters. When grounds crew members came out of the locker room, they saw Beckham and the hole in the wall.

Paolantonio said Beckham then banged his head against the door outside the Giants locker room.

He needs to good taking to from Jerry rice that's all. You people are freakn sad to hound this kid for punching a wall. If he even did it? They don't even say that he actually did it. Several balls thrown to him that should have been caught. He needs to quit getting pissed and go back to the basics. Quit being Mr. Hollywood star and go back to being a football player.

Unless he knocks out a woman on an elevator, refuses to stand for the national anthem, or kills somebody, I'm not going to judge him too harshly.

I agree with the majority of Tiger Fans. Beckham has become an embarrassment to LSU. Large sums of money do that to some people. He's starting to remind me of Terrell Owens. Not good. However, this incident is just frustration. I've punched walls and a lot worse in games before. So the media is probably blowing this out of proportion as usual. But his recent erratic behavior has put a target on his back. Wether he wants it or not.

@Lexman1, what makes you so sure the majority of Tiger fans think he is an "embarrassment?"

Thank him for his services at LSU but he's embarrassing as a representative now. He's a locker room cancer with all the talent in the world who throws tantrums on the field and has an inflated ego. His cancer spread to the team and all were dropping balls. He's targeted probably more than any other WR in the NFL and while he makes plays at times in some clutch moments, others it costs the team badly as it did yesterday. If I was a coach I'd trade him for a lot. He's a great talent but unfortunately he can't see past his own ego. Could be a guy they talk about in the hall of fame for many years if he just grows up and matures a little. I hope this game set him straight. It's depressing seeing where he's heading at times.

Not a great look? Who gives a shit? Honestly. I'm asking. Color me shocked that a hyper-competitive, emotionally charged, testosterone flooded football player had an emotional outburst by punching a wall. This a non-fricking-story that no one would care about except that it's Odell and the media have a hard on for him. Including, apparently, Larry.

And he did it after he kept his cool in the presser. He did not do it in front of everybody, just down the hall when there weren't many people around... obviously when there were no cameras recording. OBJ last year would have thrown a fit in front of everyone. Call me crazy, but I think this shows he is maturing a bit. And better him hit a wall than his gf's face. Just sayin...

Then why didn't anybody else on the Giants roster punch anything?

How do you know other players didn't punch anything? How do you know other players didn't go home and break their dining room tables? Because the media doesn't incessantly follow them around. Again, I ask, who gives a shit? Did he punch a reporter? Did he punch Sal Pal, who delights in finding these little nuggets of clickbait headlines? Okay then. So who cares? Should he get help for anger management? Hell, I don't know. I do know that it's not my business and I do know that I myself have been angry enough to punch inanimate objects when I was a younger man and filled with rage and hormones, and I didn't compete in the NFL and just lose a playoff game.
