I feel bad for O the man tried. But you have to accept defeat and move on.

I will go ahead and ask the question......who do we get to replace him? 3 years ago everybody wanted Fisher, he said no. Todd Herman...he said no. So the guys everybody thinks we need, what do we do if they say no? The only proven winning high level coaches already have jobs and teams better than us, that's how we ended up with O. I like him, but its not working. But we have to consider the alternative, it could get worse.

I would put misdeeds aside and make a play for Hugh Freeze. He can recruit, he knows the SEC, he's done something no other SEC coach has done and beat Bama (Saban) twice. He's paid his dues going to a new program and winning on a smaller stage with 2 star athletes. You're right, there's not much out there for top grade coaches, but he'd be on top of the list.

I love coach O but he needs to retire. If Woodward isn't talking to Billy Napier right freaking now, fire his arse too.

There must be some internal problems on the team and staff that we don’t know about because the team just looks like they don’t want to be there. It is not simply disorganization. It looks like there is a bad case of “don’t give schit”. This entire situation needs to be pulled out by the root and there is no need to wait on firing O. Firing him now would let the college football world know that LSU is moving on and looking for a new coach. It would be a positive and LSU would be talked about regarding every coach in the country instead of constant negativity regarding O’s impending firing. There is no positive in continuing the blood letting and embarrassment. Fire him asap.

Rumor has it that some folks in mcity are going to donate a new shrimp boat to O if he does the Pawl thing & retire. Pawl did it cuz he was too hurt to continue, O should do it cuz he is too busy chasing the ladies...

Fellow LSU fans, YES, our OC and DC hires are looking weak right now...again; BUT these coaches may have been the best available hires at the time and look at TexA&M; they were 3-2 going into the bama game last night with 2 SEC losses, 1 coming from a team we beat (MSU), and A&M beat BAMA....so what i'm saying is anything is still possible this season even with 2 or 3 SEC losses...the best Sec teams may be in the east this year, which never happens. Lets practice a little bit of patience and faith with Coach O and the new coaching staff (what Jesus would do) and see what happens.

Dumbass, we have 3 losses so far. Those losses are to ucla, auburn (when we were up by 9), and fricking Kentucky. We’ve yet to play Bama, ole miss, Arkansas, a&m. You think the season is looking good so far?

Floyd, I don't think he said anywhere that "the season is looking good". UCLA isn't in the SEC so we have 2 SEC losses, with a lot of those ahead of us still on our schedule. The key is a little patience, not jumping ship at the first sign of a leak in the hull. People need to calm down, things will play out and all this will take care of itself.

I mean, his postgame comments about being surprised about Kentucky's run game should be a red flag. We have the best RB in the conference.

Dude. You are Kentucky and it is unacceptable at LSU to lose to you at all. Losing in the fashion that happened last night is a fireable offense and there were many red flags long before that debacle yesterday.

So let me get this straight for all you instant gratification fair weather fans. After having 2 seasons where your coaching staff is completely gutted and ripped apart, you aren't winning enough and your solution is to gut and rip the coaching staff apart? I'll stand by what I said after the loss to UCLA, at the end of NEXT season, if they dont show some significant improvement after a year of some continuity, THEN we can start talking about how to move on from Coach O.

I mean because of the stupid buyout, 70 percent of his remaining contract which is appx. 70 percent of 42-9= 33 (est 22 M); may not be able to just fire him. Who makes these contracts?

Let me go ahead and say it for him, because you know he’ll say it on Monday and on Wednesday. Coach Orgeron takes full responsibility. He’s the head coach and he knows how special LSU is to the people of this great state. But he takes full responsibility for th e team and the loss.
