This past Sunday, Baton Rouge sports reporter Matt Trent sent out a tweet that said Ed Orgeron used to bring girlfriends to practice and let their kids participate in drills, according to a WBRZ source.

Since then, multiple veteran LSU football players have spoken up to completely deny those rumors.

When all is said and done, these creeps running LSU will wish they had Orgeron back...the whole thing stinks to high heaven

Ok no this will not happen at all but I understand the frustration with made up stories.

seems like this could be grounds for libel based on "reckless disregard for the truth"

I bet a girlfriend and kids played around after practice one day. Sorta like Drew would do with his kids with Saints. And some prick decided this was a story AFTER wins and losses were trending in wrong direction. This is the same type prick who rats on neighbors for not wearing masks at the Dollar General. Non-story. Good on the players for calling out this Gestapo turd.

Scott Woodward is at the practices. Do you think HE would have allowed this?!?!?!?!

Glad O is leaving but really good to see his players stand up for him. Integrity matters!

I said it on Tiger Rant....that the story was probably fake...Trent is just like the rest of the media...slime sucking bottom feeders...if you believe those people you are a moron. He should get his share of "social media" horsesht to help make his life miserable as he has attempted to do to others. I have no respect for those people...they deserve the worst.

Matt Trent is an anti-LSU puss. You can tell if you watch him. I don’t anymore.
user avatar
Honestly, even if it were true that he was bringing kids to practice as long as it wasn’t DURING the main practice session and was just the players goofing around with the kids… I don’t see the issue. All kinds of people watch practice all the time. Like I said though, as long as they weren’t impeding on the coaches and players focus time.

If this story is not proven true this guy should be fired!

I think the testimony of numerous players suffices.

I do appreciate the players taking up for their coach.

Me too, but supposedly the majority of the team didn’t respect him because Coach O said good things about Trump and some dumbass players even organized some March or protest to the LSU administration about that. That was probably BS too. I don’t think the players are that politically active. They’re there to play ball, to compete for a position as a starter. They can’t be worrying about that crap, right?

He was chasing young women and he did divorce his wife of 24 years after the 2019 season.

And? What is your point? The tweet said he brought women to practice, yet numerous players are saying it is not true. What does you comment have to do with the issue? Absolutely nothing.

His sons also graduated high school around the same time. Some couples are mature enough to agree with splitting after their kid’s graduate high school — I know some, we all do.

This pisses me off. Either the reporter straight lied or someone in football is starting shite. Like CEO or not, we cannot tolerate this shite.

The media should be ashamed of this story. Fake news is a huge problem in this country and the people that create it have zero liability

If Kardell Thomas, who I don’t believe has a great relationship with O says it’s bullshite, I believe him.
user avatar
MojoTigerBalls30 months
Why do you believe that he does not have a great relationship with Coach O? Is it simply an assumption you are making that because Thomas has not played, that he has a bad relationship with the head coach or do you have actual information to make you believe that? It does not do anyone any good to make assumptions such as this as they are often incorrect. Potentially injury status has had a lot to do with playing time but we don’t know so i don’t recommend developing a belief without complete information. But hey, free country, believe in untruths if that’s what makes you feel good, I guess.
user avatar

You need to read up on your history about him and coach O with his SJW tweets before you type a wall of bullshite. It’s well known they don’t have the greatest of relationships.

When I first read it, I thought the veracity in reporting has gone from TMZ-level to Weekly World News.
