UPDATE: LSU QB Joe Burrow has been named the starter vs. Miami

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron has yet to announce who will be the Tigers starting QB for Sunday's season opener vs. Miami but Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt expects that it will be Ohio State transfer Joe Burrow, according to the Miami Herald.
quote:

As of early Monday morning, LSU coach Ed Orgeron had not announced the starter, but most believe it will be Burrow.

Richt said Burrow is a “super mobile guy. You can expect certain quarterback run aspects’’ and if not “you can expect … more of a power running game…play action pass and more pocket stuff.

“We think it’s going to be Burrow... But we’ll see.’’
Orgeron will address the media on Monday at 12:30 pm CT and could likely name a starter then. Stay tuned.

Who do you think will be named the starter?

altiger, there is no garbage time anymore for ANY 4 games during the year! The new NCAA redshirt rules are that a player can play in ANY 4 games during the season and still take a redshirt. I don't think they will blow this game just to play him. They play him only if needed. They will keep him for some of the games against lesser teams for him to get in 1.5 quarters of garbage practice against live competition. Or, if he is needed in an emergency

Richt will get to face Brennan too after LSU is up by 20 in the 4th.

Well in that case play Miles and run the option. #mindblown

So mark expects the exact opposite of what coach o has been saying all year so far? He expects run heavy or a run/pass option? He’s a special kind of stupid. Reguardless of the qb we will pass at the least 50% of the time unless we are up by a huge amount.

Can y’all stop with the click bait titles? You could have easily put “Joe Burrow” instead of “this QB”.
