The Miami Dolphins are applying the non-exclusive franchise tag on former LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Per NFL.com:
quote:

The Dolphins have placed the franchise tag on the wide receiver, the team announced. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the tag used is non-exclusive, and sets up Landry to make $16 million in 2018, if he signs the tag.
Many believe that Landry will likely sign the tag and continue to negotiate a long-term contract with the Dolphins.

Landry was selected by the Dolphins in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He has 400 catches for 4,038 receiving yards, with 22 touchdowns in four seasons with Miami.

Man 2013 was a fun year. Jeremy Hill, Jarvis, and OBJ. Going back and looking at the depth chart and seeing some of the names playing on Sunday. That was a special team.

Dolphins probably could have signed him to a three year $10 million deal… Get a one-year $16 million deal instead… That doesn’t make a lot of sense.

NFL scouts said he was to small. LSU coaches/fans knew better. Could be a hall of famer one day .

He always played bigger than his stats - I recall his freshman season with some big hits on special teams, particularly in the Auburn game.

Juice is my all time favorite Tiger. In any sport. The passion and balls to the wall attitude he plays with are ridiculous. He reps the boot too. OBJ owes him big time, and juice doesn't get enough credit.

For all the downvotes, I guess you were happy with Stanley Jean-Baptiste that was taken 4 picks before Juice.
