For the second time this month, LSU's Tiger Stadium was broken into sometime between last Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Per LSUNow.com:
quote:

According to LSUPD’s initial crime report, an LSU staff member called LSUPD officer to the stadium around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday in reference to a burglary.

The staff member told police that unknown individuals gained entry into the stadium sometime between 7:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, according to the crime report.

There are no known suspects at this time.
Just a few weeks ago on Jan 3, Tiger Stadium was broken into and the field was vandalized.

Back in the early 60's, when I lived in the stadium, it was no big deal to get "inside". One door - never locked. I guess things change after 50 years. Always a Tiger!

One guard dog , like a male Rottie, on patrol will solve everything and his droppings will even make the grass grow greener.

So someone got inside but nothing happened? That's a trespass not a burglary.

So I guess this means surveillance cameras were not installed after the last break in? Maybe installed before the next one? Or does the purchase of the equipment need to go out to bid which could take a year?

I did too in 1999. Actually I lied, I used a condom and it broke so it was a little snail trail on the field.

Idiots are gonna ruin it for everyone! We used to sneak into the stadium often, no better place to be while at LSU. Lots of people did it but we would never even think about vandalizing it or messing up that opportunity.

Enough of this crap! Employ round the clock security plus surveillance cameras. Prosecute violators to the full extent of the law! TAF can afford it. Why allow this to continue? Stop it now or real damage could be done.

Why do people have to be such dicks? I can remember multiple times going into tiger stadium at night when we were camping out for tickets. We played a 2on2 football game on the whole field once. And guess what, we didn't break or vandalize anything!

I'm thinking this is over-dramatization based on the vandalization. As a student, you see an opening and you go check it out.
