After seeing LSU's band up in the nosebleed seats in Austin last weekend, Tiger Nation is expecting that Texas' band will get the same treatment when they come to Baton Rouge in 2020.

Executive Deputy Director of Athletics Verge Ausberry confirmed that hope to The Advocate Tuesday:
quote:

"We're going to do the same thing to them, too," Ausberry said.

Southeastern Conference policy requires that 1,500 tickets for the visiting school must be in the lower deck, but that won't apply to Texas, of the Big 12 Conference, Ausberry said. The contract between the two schools allowed visitors only 3,000 tickets, less than the 5,000 the SEC requires for conference games.

The LSU-Texas contract, however, doesn't specify where those seats must be, Ausberry said.
What comes around goes around....

For a school and a program like that to be as petty as they were is frankly surprising. You would think they would have been more welcoming to be honest but they were petty. It’s really a shame and embarrassing.

What kind of program? They don't even play the national anthem.

I wouldn't even let them sit in a single section. Put their seats in a single row along the top row of seats.

Scatter them. Dont let any band member sit within 10 rows of another.

How can you guys be so sure that they will travel with the band next year? Especially if we keep stating how bad we're gonna to treat them.

Add the locker room issue and my opinion of Texas, as a program and an institution has totally changed for the negative.

Hey Texas, you want to treat your guests like that. OK, we will return the favor. No bad blood, just doing to you, what you did to our band and ticket holders. See you next year in Tiger Stadium.

The only way to deal with an arrogant bully is to punch back 50x harder than they hit you. LSU should spread a handful of their band members in each section around both upper decks.

Let’s be civil . . . let their band sit together in the lower level . . . at Alex Box Stadium.

OK I missed the Alex Box.. good seats

Does the band have to sit together? Spread them out randomly across the upper deck.

Is it possible to put them in one row across the stadium? I wonder what that would do to their band acoustically?

They should spread those seats out too. Have the band in all different sections

Turn the visitors locker room into a temporary shrine to the last ten years of disappointing seasons for them

Does the band have to sit in a block? Put them in a single row across the top row of the upper deck...

If the band doesn’t come out of fear of retribution, all the better!!!!
