They certainly have the talent, they just have to play up to the talent level. They are thin in the secondary thanks to Alabama swiping two players (Surtain & Nadab Joseph) that should have been at LSU, but the DLine and LB'ers are loaded.

To be the team, you've got to beat the team..... woooooooooooooooo let your actions speak on the field then you can call yourself the best. Sean McDonough started this crap of "one of the best in the country.'' now, every game has it. Grow some balls announcers. Be specific about how good someone is.

Defense wins championships! Offense puts butts in the seats. Don't be "one of the best"; be THE best defense!

Did you watch any of 2017 season at all? Notre dame had no problem, bama had no problem, ms state had no problem beating lsu, some the games that lsu won, those teams had no problem putting up lots points. Defense needs lot of improvement from 2017. Maybe you were watching some other team in 2017. All phases need help in lsu football, all phases of the game need improvement and get off their butt and play better for lsu. If you see defense is not the problem, you been sleeping too hard, defense, offense and special teams need a ton of improvement

Never been worried about the defense. Ready to make DA the head coach and bring in a fresh young mind to the OC position.

Man, I wasn't aware you had to be a world-class speaker to be a good football player. Thanks for that.

DLine Depth and LB Depth and SIZE SIZE SIZE at each position in the front. I think LSU will field the heaviest DLine in the SEC. 7... 8 guys in the defense that touched 5* ratings during recruiting... the returning leading tackle and interception collectors in the conference. No true freshmen NEED to start. yeah this defense smells like a top 5 defense. barring injuries at CB. and even then LSU will be forcing teams to be one dimensional, cz running is gonna be hard against this front. Best since 2011

Bitching has become the official pastime of the LSU fan base. It's pathetic and doesn't do any favors to the athletic department.
