LSU starting cornerback Eli Ricks is out for the remainder of the season, Ed Orgeron announced on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday morning.

Ricks, a sophomore Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., has been dealing with a lingering injury that has not been able to heal correctly and will have a procedure done, according to Orgeron.

Hummm...1 more win for the limping tigs this year? Good thing Ulm will be in tiger stadium or this could be it..when it rains, it pours...and it's a flood zone in BR...I don't think Saban could pull this ship together..wayyyyy too many holes to plug...(but I'd like to see him try)...

Translation. He has an injury that he could play with like players do all the time with consistent treatment but he chooses not to do since the season is lost and it doesn't matter.

Nagging injury is very descriptive. Pretty telling in that statement.

"O says he's been dealing with a nagging injury all season and they decided it was time to get operated on and get it fixed." was really like, "Now that we realize the season is fricked, you may as well. It's gonna' get worse before it gets better, so you might as well be getting fixed. You being here won't change what's coming."

Orgeron must GO, as predicted he is tearing down LSU Football before he is fired. He communicates with those players it would be interesting to know what he is telling them.....

welcome to LSU, where one good season means you can "opt out" of your obligations to the school and wait for the draft.
