LSU landed former UTSA Roadrunner wide receiver Gregory Clayton Jr. from the transfer portal this week.

Clayton is a junior from Lutcher, La. Per On3:

The former Roadrunner senior receiver was a junior college transfer that joined UTSA in the summer of 2020. Clayton was a three-star recruit who ranked 268 nationally and No. 31 from the state of Louisiana in the 2018 recruiting class. Unfortunately for Clayton, he struggled to see the field in his two years at UTSA. He primarily contributed on special teams and defense, recording eight tackles, six solo, four tackles for loss, and one sack over his two years with the Roadrunners.

I don't see how it's a bad thing getting a player that adds depth and can immediately contribute to special teams unless we took him over a talented TE or something. Some of you people need to get a life.

Can't see the field at USTA? We need you at LSU! This must be a political move, because we already have guys who are more talented and who can fill out special teams while working their way up their position depth chart.

Ha - I started lookin at his twitter feeds, and saw the first highlight reel. As I watched I thought - man this dude reminds me of Jarvis Landry. Like a lot. I better go tell the ol' Baws on TD that this dude is underrated and looks a lot like Landry. Then I realized it was a reel of Landry. Hahahahah!

I guess if you can't laugh at yourself....

There's a difference between getting players from LA and getting the right players from LA.
