Coach O needs to negotiate for LSU. Nice feeling when another Sec team is that frightened to play your team.

So basically Florida didn't want to play

Florida didn't want to play the game. They saw a way out and took full advantage. Lsu offered to play the game Saturday night, Sunday, even Monday in Gainesville or anywhere. Florida decline all options. They gators saw a way to avoid a lost and get to the sec championship game. The SEC has a "mess" on its hand if LSU and Florida Run the table and Tennessee loses 1 game. Florida should have to forfeit the game for playing such a "chicken" game.

Weather Channel for Gainesville, Florida, Saturday: 66-84, Partly Coudy 10% chance of rain. Sunday: 63-80, Sunny 0% chance of rain. Monday: 60-75, Sunny 0% chance of rain. AND THE SEC BOUGHT INTO THEIR STRATEGIC EXCUSE!

Interesting spin from LSU. Sounds like UF asked them to cancel the Southern Miss game, UF would cancel their Presbtyrian game and do it then. LSU said no. UF then asked if LSU would play during the Bye week prior to Bama and UF would re-schedule the UGA game and LSU, again, said no.

Commence the downvotes because y'all will act like it was for "safety" but we all know y'all really wanted to try and get that game in B.R. to better your odds. Be honest with yourselves.

Funny how all the other games are being played on Sunday. Why can't this one? Oh because your qb is hurt.

If they wanted the game in Baton Rouge, then why did they offer to play Sunday or Monday or even in an empty stadium if they had to? Why did Florida refuse?

Dear Joe, make them play or forfeit. Now is not the time to hide in your safe space. Earn your keep for once in your stay here.

I wouldn't like this idea because we'd have to play Ole Miss, Bama, Arky, Florida and A&M back to back, but why can't they just move the A&M game back to a normal Saturday? I fricking hate that it's played on Thanksgiving anyway and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Sometimes i wish LSU would just leave the SEC. The SEC front office was Tailor-made for Bama.

It is becoming ridiculous the way the SEC treats LSU. There is no way this would happen to Bama. No damn way.

A missed game is just as bad as a loss. Shame on Florida and shame on the SEC front office. This is all apart of a bigger picture. This is just a play to keep Bama in the playoff picture and make our resume look weak. We have a real shot at beating Bama this year and everyone knows it. We beat Bama, we're in the SEC championship because no one else has a snowballs chance in hell of beating us now that we don't have the Achilles heel know as Miles and Cameron. We win the SEC they can't keep us out of the playoffs. Now that this game is cancelled, it keeps Bama in and us out regardless of us beating Bama. I've seen some shady calls on the field that have costed us games, but this is a new low.

That's why we must play the game nov 19 and take our chances on a short week at texas a&m. No other option. Unless arkansas beat alabama and Tennessee beat a&m.

I really don't think this was all a convoluted plan to get Bama to the SECCG. And to think or say that seems paranoid and way to stuck on the Tide's success. This was just Foley being a cowardly bitch, and the SEC being gutless tools.

Shiftyplus 1: There's purpose in everything. Corruption runs deep. Bama creates more overall revenue for the SEC. It's in their best interest for Bama to continue to excel. More people (nationwide) tune in to watch Bama games more than any other team in the SEC. So the SEC keeps their prized pig fed. It's well known that LSU is the only team in the country that matches Bama talent wise. We lost 5 straight due to pour gameplan and couching strategy. In regards to Florida, they just didn't want to play because their QB is still hurt along with most of their D-line. They were walking into an arse whipping and they knew it. That's cut and dry. Shady, yes. But the SECs purpose is a lot shadier. Everyone knew this game played a major role in the SEC championship race. Their where dozens of alternate options they could've went with. Yet they cancelled. Why? Florida didn't want the loss and the SEC didn't won't LSU to get the W. They both got what they wanted. Win Win...

Playing the game on Nov 19th is the only hope LSU will have to go to the SEC championship because per tie breaker rule we will have 1 less divisional game than any team in the west. So we must play the game and take our chances. Its a no brainer because either alabama or a&m will have a better divisional record.

Not if arky beats that arse this Saturday. Then we take care of business. frick Florida. They should forfeit. All reasonable attempts were made and they didn't show.

So LSU should be forced to cancel our senior day, lose 3-4 million dollars in revenue from the lose of a home game, and play a road game on the saturday before playing A&M thanksgiving because UF's AD is a stubborn moron who didn't make up back up plans? How in the world does that make sense? If we did that we don't have to worry about the tiebreaker rules because there is no way in hell that LSU wins out with that schedule. If a tiebreaker scenario happens, Alleva needs to grow a set of balls and tell the SEC they have 3 options: 1. Make Florida forfeit since we made every effort to play and they did not. 2. Push the SECCG back a week and let LSU and UF play. 3. Change the tiebreaker rules since these are extenuating circumstances so that head to head is more important than winning percentage. Then if the SEC does nothing and a 7-1 Bama or a 7-1 A&M goes to the SECCG over an 6-1 LSU, Alleva needs to tell the SEC to shove it up their arse and we take our talents to the Big12.
