Well, Narcisse wasn't too happy with Blackwell's Tweet:

had a teammate that was 3rd string corner at Southern Miss and only playing special teams at 215 lb and ran a 4.3. He transferred to a FCS school and was first team all american after his first year and had a 2nd round grade his following year. Played 8 year in the league, had he stuck it out he would have wasted his career. I applaud Lowell for having confidence in his talent, you only get one shot.

agreed. So many posters here want players to stay and "compete." But this is an elite football school. What if a guy stays and competes, yet never sees the field. That's a wasted career, when he could've gone elsewhere and played. I don't blame Narcisse one bit.

Damn people come on this kid is a quitter just admit it and don’t be afraid to say it he gave up because he didn’t have the will to compete for the starting job just go back and look at his effort in spring practices it was very poor and a poor attitude so to me that’s like a plague to have a attitude like that on the team so good luck to him and bye felicia and can we please just get the season started already

Well, he was being coached by a "quitter." So if you have a problem with him being a quitter, then I would think you would also have a problem with his head coach being a quitter.

WTH are talking about early keese? Quitter??? Who, if referring to Coach O then you are a blooming bona fide idiot.
user avatar
earl keese68 months
eugene, o quit the LSU football team back in the seventies, and he quit on the USC football team in 2013 when he didn't get the head coaching job. Look it up friend. Otherwise, you're the one who sounds like a blooming bona fide idiot.

Both of them were the heir apparent. Lowell is not.

Who is the heir apparent? Lot of time to figure that out.

I think Will Blackwell posted his opinion respectfully and Narcisse responded respectfully. Nothing wrong with any of that. I feel like Narcisse sees that McMillan stuck with the Tigers all the way through graduation and never really played. Then he sees Lindsey Scott leave the program and win a title in Juco and have a lot of fun then get himself into a D1 school where he'll have a better chance at starting. I think the Lindsey Scott option probably sounded better to him and he went with that. As he said before, they wanted him to basically be a wildcat QB and he doesn't want to be a RB, he wants to be a QB.

Absolutely correct. These are two people conversing in a respectful manner through Twitter about an unfortunate situation. Well done by both and Narcisse has handled himself with poise and grace throughout this situation.

Didn't want to compete. Didn't think he could compete. It's clear. No other way to spin it.

I agree. The thing that is getting to some fans is that when Narcisse blew out his knee the 2nd time LSU stood by him. He is just now getting back to where he actually can compete but he threw in the towel. It seems premature.

It is clear to me Lowell Narcisse is a winner. All of this ultimately hinges on Burrows and his survival. AU will hurt him. Anyone wanna argue ?

Narcisse gave a great response. He's right. Sucks he's gonna leave, but I understand why he did it. Nothing but positive vibes for him.

He just didn't have the want to compete.

Man, don't call him out, don't respond when you are called out. Just let it be, it is better for all involved and the program, which is bigger than any one current, former or future player.

Sorry Will but Narcisse speaks the truth on this one. He's been sitting for 3 years. Can't blame him for not wanting to sit for 2 more.

no reason not to turn. Narcisse is selfishly hurting the team. The school has wasted 2 years. We could have spent those two years on someone more dedicated and less self absorbed.

Agree Stingy. Seems like the fans are more selfish that they claim LN to be. Bunch of hypocrites rooting for a transfer yet bashing another.

Something about a left handed QB. I wonder if the receivers are for this or not. Just looks different on release
user avatar
Smoothboy70668 months
Michael Vick left handed QB shut up with that
user avatar

Really nothing wrong with either post. I have more issue with Blackwells from the standpoint that Narcisse wanted to compete and is a competitor. He battled multiple injuries just to get to this point.
user avatar
ROPO68 months
The guy who quit for not wanting to compete wants to compete? I have no doubt that Lowell wants to play football. But he does NOT want to compete. He wants to go somewhere where he does not HAVE to compete to play.
