Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry continues to insert himself into the situation at LSU following the firing of Brian Kelly.

Landry said Wednesday that LSU athletic director Scott Woodward would not be hiring the next head football coach.

On Thursday, Landry was on ESPN's Pat McAfee show and said that the next head coach of the Tigers is "going to have a completely different contract."

Because he got more votes than the other guy...plain and simple democracy at work. You don't like him, vote him out or impeach him that's the only non-violent way. End of story!

I wish I could vote against him, but sadly I'm an ex pat

Why is he lying about taxpayers footing the payout bill, he knows better but is making this situation political

Justifying inserting himself when he has shithole cities which could use his attention trying to stimulate economic development

Not correct - read the contracts for yourself right here:

This contract is with the Board of LSU - not donors, not a foundation, or anyone or anything else. Public University and the taxpayers backstop that.

But donors are literally paying it

Saw him a few weeks back. He is a wuss. Why doesn’t he worry about the potholes and less about a sport he never played I would guess by his size

Why is he on ESPN instead of doing his job? It's a Thursday.

You’d think being ranked 50th in the nation in any positive category…this arse clown would have bigger things to worry about.

Gosh
You know NADA about how this stuff works.
And my understanding is you’re not so good at governorship either.
The taxpayers are not funding any of this - but they are funding your horrible education system and deteriorating infrastructure.
Tend to what you were elected to handle.
You are way over your head - the whole country is mocking your stupidity.

lol. What an embarrassment to the state and the university this is becoming. Half the state is poor, illiterate, and starving, and he’s out here talking about the football coach.

Governor William J Lapetame needs to keep his nose out of LSU football… Stick with politics

Is Landry really this dumb? There is no reason in the world why a $8-10 million dollar per year coach takes that deal.

That sound you hear is the sound of us suddenly having to choose from a pool of 10U Flag Football Coordinators in Mississippi.

Fear not. The potential LSU coaches out there know that LSU is LSU. It's 100+ years of legacy and history, and the hiccup this squirrel is causing will be forgotten shortly.

Gov. Landry is correct! Perhaps if one were to follow the money trail....it would open your eyes!

I can safely say this idiot has never been right about anything. Maybe he should worry about the crime and poverty afflicting his state and do something about it
