I don't think he would have lasted very long at Michigan.

When I think about all the people that cried to keep him instead of letting him go, I smdh. As you can see now from this story he really wanted to go, but nooo people thought he was the next Saban or something. Lol LSU could have had better coaches replace him back then like Rich Rodriquez or a Mike Leach. Coaches that would have known what to do with that talent on the offensive side of that ball, and I think thy would have brought in a real good DC to handle the talent on the defensive side of the ball for those that think the defense would have suffered.

Was praying that Michigan offered him that job. Of course they were smart enough to not hire him. Really wish we had a competent AD back then.

Nope. Les burned his bridges with me. He can go apply for janitor at Michigan for all I care. Screw Les Miles.

People need thicker skin. Coaches are usually hired mercenaries unless they are coaching for their alma mater for sentimental reasons - and even then, they can usually be lured away with $. Have a nice day.

No. LSU put up with a lot and kept Les far longer than many schools would have. LSU finally had no choice after Les was leading LSU to a disasterous season after losing to Wisconsin and Auburn in a debacle. LSU had given Miles a chance to change but Miles refused and kept Cam Cameron. Interestingly enough one of the 1st things Orgeron did was fire Cameron's ass. The staff knew Cameron was a joke. LSU should have let Miles go several years earlier. No LSU fans don't need thicker skin. Miles needs to stop running his mouth.

Amazes me to this day that people think he was of moral high character.

Open mouth and insert foot. Les, you just burned all the goodwill that the Tiger Nation had for you. Good bye, and good reddens. I supported you, now to only learn that we were your 2nd choices. screw you, Les!!!!

I wished it would have worked out too! Maybe then we could have gotten rid of that ancient offense a few years sooner and actually accomplished something with the talent that passed through LSU under your watch.

I sad it did not either. We would have at least one more championship with him leaving.

Les has talked about his love for LSU and for Louisiana until we could all throw up. Now he says something somewhat complimentary of his alma mater and LSU fans act like some teenage girl that need constant affirmation. Damn.

'Zackly. Thank you for your response. Les stayed at LSU when he could have coached his alma mater. I respect him and love him for that. I wish only the best for him on all his future endeavors.

And the only reason he didnt go to Michigan was because he lost his way into the NCG and his contract made him the highest paid coach in CF if he won.
