During Peach Bowl Media Day in Atlanta on Thursday, Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley offered up high praise for LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and also compared him to former Heisman quarterback and NFL rookie Baker Mayfield. Per 247Sports:
quote:

“He's very comfortable in their schemes, he does a great job getting the ball out of his hands, very accurate passer,” Riley said. “And then he's made so many huge plays outside the pocket this year, extending time, whether it's taken off or whether he's making plays on the move. That's where he's really hurt people. And plays a lot of the style that Baker (Mayfield) did for us. Very, very similar in a lot of ways, and it's very, very effective, very difficult to defend.”
Kickoff between LSU and Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl is set for 3 p.m. CT on December 28. The game will be televised on ESPN.

When I hear these coaches talk like this similar to how Kirby was talking before the game, it’s like they already know that this is going to be a nightmare game for them. It’s not just very difficult to defend, it’s nearly impossible to defend. Have to hope that they can slow them down some way and make LSU make mistakes and lots of them to be able to have a chance. It’s kinda simple for LSUs D. Stop Jalen/Lamb and stop 80% of that offense. You can’t say that for LSU. Then it’s really stop Jalen’s run game and double Lamb when they pass and you stop 80% of that offense.
