Coach Les Miles opened up on LSU's zone-read offense while speaking on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday. Here is some of what he had to say according to The Advocate:
quote:

“It’s just a part of our offense. Its an interesting piece when you when make the defense account for the quarterback. It becomes an assignment, it becomes an awareness. It changes the defense in a number of ways. He obviously has great speed and ball-handling skills.”

Doesn't the QB keep the ball at least occasionally on the zone read?

"I'm a guy who likes to watch the ball go down the field."

I just like it to take more than one play and preferably be from the I formation.
