Former NFL standout Keenan McCardell, currently Maryland's wide receivers coach, will be in Baton Rouge on Thursday interviewing for the same position with Tigers coach Les Miles and his staff, according to sources.

McCardell's resume includes a stint as the Washington Redskins' wide receivers coach from 2010-12. He joined Maryland's staff in 2014. McCardell played 17 seasons in the NFL, amassing 883 receptions, 11,373 yards and 63 touchdowns, which led to Pro Bowl nominations in 1996 and 2003. He also won two Super Bowls, one with the Redskins and another with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
McCardell is interviewing to replace former LSU wide receiver coach Adam Henry who is accepting a job on the San Francisco 49ers staff.

Hmm. Has NFL coaching experience and would probably help out of state recruiting. Not bad
